Physical Exams

The Physical Exam is the most important diagnostic tool we use, whether part of a wellness exam or an illness. It starts with observation and then moves to hands on.

Vacinations

Vaccinations are your front-line protection for the health of your cat. Which vaccine is required is dependent on age, lifestyle, health, and Public Health mandates. At MCC we follow the guidelines set out by the AAFP.

Boarding

MCC offers multiple options for your cat’s stay with us. Some options can accommodate multiple cats.

Surgery

Metro Cat Clinic has a surgery suite approved by ASBME. We perform spays, neuters, tumor removals, and other soft tissue injury repairs. As needed, we can refer more complex surgeries to various Vet Specialty Surgeons in the Birmingham Metro Area.

Dental

As part of every Physical Exam we look at as much of your cat’s mouth as he/she will allow. Full sedation is required for a complete assessment of each tooth. At MCC we perform basic cleanings and polishing and tooth extraction(s) as needed. For more complicated dental issues, we may refer to a nearby Board Certified Veterinary Dental Specialist.

Radiology/ Ultrasound

MCC is equipped with digital radiology. We also have basic ultrasound capabilities with the option of having a traveling Veterianray ultrasonographer come to our clinic

Grooming

We offer many grooming options at MCC. A full Persian/Lion cut (full tail or ball tail?), brush out, nail trim, soft paws applied, Potty trail and more.

Microchipping

Having a permanent form of identification in/on your cat greatly increases the chances your feline family member will be returned to you. Even your indoor only cat may accidently get out of your home. A microchip is a simple and safe way to insure you have done the best you can to being reunitied.

Through our trusted affiliated on-line store, you can order food, flea supplies, approved compounded medications and more. All shipped to your front door!
